Mission Statement

The Graduate Program in Advanced Talmud/Tanach Studies (GPATS), accredited to award a Masters Degree in Biblical and Talmudic Interpretation, will produce graduates who are sophisticated 廬 廬廨 廩 and who are both properly equipped and properly credentialed to become effective and inspiring leaders in the Jewish community. The program will provide continuing immersion in traditional Talmud Torah in all of its breadth and depth for an outstanding and highly select group of learned and qualified Orthodox women.

GPATS Students

The Graduate Program in Advanced Talmud/Tanach Studies (GPATS) is a two-year master's program where the women are given the opportunity to study at an advanced level furthering their growth in Torah knowledge and skills. There is also an油additional option to learn for a third year. This program creates an elite cadre of female scholars of Talmud, Tanach, and Halakha who will serve as leaders and role models for the Orthodox Jewish community.

Graduate Programs

Students in Talmud morning seder who are additionally enrolled in the afternoon halacha seder will qualify for a油$7,500 stipend in their shana aleph and $10,000 in their shana油bet油year ($20,000油for油those who stay油shana油gimmel).

Students in Tanach morning seder who are additionally enrolled in the afternoon halacha seder will similarly qualify for a $7,500 stipend in their shana aleph and $10,000 in their shana油bet油year ($20,000油for油those who stay油shana油gimmel). They may also qualify for油12 credits towards the Masters of Arts in Bible at the Bernard Revel Graduate School of Jewish Studies.

Part-time, non-stipend 消消犯 who enroll exclusively in the Tanach morning seder qualify for 12 credits towards the Master of Arts in Bible at the Bernard Revel Graduate School of Jewish Studies. 油油

All 消消犯 who are enrolled in the full time, 2- year program will receive a masters in Talmudic Interpretation.油

Placement Office

Students also receive pedagogic training, opportunities to engage synagogues around the country as GPATS Scholars-in-Training and serve on college campuses as 消消犯 Interns, serve at Jewish day schools as GPATS Interns and receive dedicated resources for placement opportunities of positions within Jewish education and beyond. 油
